PORTRAITS
MIDDLE PICTURE OF MADDIE
Lighting:
Describe the shadows that are created in the photo. Her shadow is on her left of Maddie so the light that was on her was more to the right.
Position of the Model:
How is the model situated? Maddie is positioned straight ahead of me and her body is fully facing me.
Is the photo a head shot, or did you include more of the torso? I did more of a torso shot.
Is the model facing the camera, looking to the side, tilting their head… she is directly facing the camera with her head tilted to the right slightly.
Position of the Camera/Composition:
Did you take a horizontal or vertical photo? I took the picture vertical.
What was your point of view? My point of view is straight on.
Impact/Expression:
What does the lighting, position of model and expression on face communicate? It shows that she is happy and the picture is bright creating a positive tone.
What aspect of the model’s personality is being revealed in the portrait? (serious, humorous, sad, anxious…) You can see the happy and smiley side of Maddison.

DOUBLE COLOR
What images did you select for your double exposure? The images used are two Maddie pictures with different emotions, Felicity with the American Flag, Maddie with the brick wall, and Brad with painting with light
How do the objects relate compositionally? The first one of Maddie is different emotions and Felicity has the same colors as the American Flag
How did you manipulate and modify each image? I added a picture that I thought would fit the first picture the best and what would look the coolest
What steps did you take to merge layers to create a unified image? I took both of the images and I dragged the second picture that was not the portrait over the portrait and I got rid of the one that is not a portrait and moved the opacity until I thought it looked good
How do your images relate conceptually? I just think that they look well together
What concept, idea or meaning does your double exposure convey? I don't think any of them really have a meaning
