FAVORITE PLACE
What is the subject for your photo essay and where did you take your photographs? My subject is the forest, I took my photos at Fort Barton Woods in Tiverton.
Why did you select this place? Why is it significant or important to you? I used to live in Tiverton and we used to go there and we went there on my birthday when I took these, also I love to go on adventures.
What concept are you trying to portray about this topic? I am trying to portray adventure and freedom.
Visually, how did your images capture the narrative or “story” of your essay? It shows the journey my dad and I had while trying to find the tree that we put out names on from years ago.
Discuss: the order and arrangement of your photos and how you visually unified the series of photos? Its shows the the what we saw throughout our time there from the beginning to end.
Which photo is the strongest in the series? I think that the leaf in the water is because it is pretty clear for a picture taken on an iPhone and I like the reflection in the water.
Describe the composition (viewpoint, angle, lighting, etc) and/or technical aspects / editing of one of the photos. On the picture with the eye, my point of view is straight forward, there is texture from the bump in the tree and shape with all of the symbols made on it.
